Terms of Use

1. Purpose

By accessing obitix.com or using the Obitix software platform, you agree to these Terms of Use. Obitix provides software to help licensed funeral professionals, crematories, transport technicians, and authorized family contacts document and track chain-of-custody and related case operations. Obitix is not a licensed funeral establishment and does not provide funeral, medical, or legal services.

2. Eligibility

Users must be at least 18 years old. Where applicable, users must be authorized by a funeral home, crematory, or other deathcare organization to access case information. Licensed professionals remain responsible for compliance with all applicable laws and professional standards.

3. Platform Usage

You may not falsify data or misuse the platform. Obitix assists operational documentation but does not replace required legal, medical, or funeral documentation. All chain-of-custody events and case data must be reviewed and confirmed by authorized personnel before regulatory or legal use.

4. SMS / Text Messaging Terms

By providing a mobile phone number and opting in (for example during account setup, staff/family invitation, case contact entry, or an online/web form), you agree to receive SMS/text messages from Obitix related to our service. These messages may include transport status updates, custody or assignment alerts, family/case notifications, and account or security notices.

• Program purpose: operational and transactional notifications for Obitix deathcare chain-of-custody workflows.
• Message frequency: varies by case activity; you may receive up to 30 messages per month.
• Message and data rates may apply.
• Opt out: reply STOP at any time to cancel SMS. After you send STOP, you will receive a confirmation and no further SMS from that program unless you opt in again.
• Help: reply HELP for assistance, or contact support@obitix.com / 314-546-9959.
• Consent to receive SMS is not required as a condition of purchasing Obitix services.

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Our SMS practices are also described in our Privacy Policy.

5. Accuracy & Connectivity

Time stamps, GPS, maps, and message delivery depend on device connectivity, carrier networks, and user input. These features are not guaranteed to be exact or uninterrupted.

6. Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Obitix is not responsible for downtime, carrier SMS delays, or misuse of the platform. Liability is limited to the fees paid for the applicable Obitix service during the period giving rise to the claim.

7. Intellectual Property

All software, branding, and content provided by Obitix are the property of Obitix Inc. or its licensors. You may not copy, reverse engineer, or redistribute the platform except as expressly permitted.

8. Modifications

These Terms may change periodically. Updates are effective when posted on this page. Continued use of Obitix after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

10. Legal Disclaimer

Obitix Inc. provides software to assist licensed funeral professionals in documenting and tracking custody transitions. Obitix is not a licensed funeral establishment and does not provide legal, medical, or funeral services. Accuracy of data depends on user input and device connectivity. All chain-of-custody events must be reviewed and confirmed by authorized state-licensed personnel prior to regulatory submission.
